Inviting participants and what they see

How invitations work, what a participant sees when they accept, and what stays private to you as the practitioner.

Participants are the people who go through a program. They might be called coachees, trainees or learners in your practice. Paldar calls them participants everywhere, and shows them a deliberately simple view.

Adding people

On a program's Participants tab, add each person with a name and an email address. You can paste a list. Email addresses are stored in lower case, so a differently capitalised address for the same person will not create a duplicate.

Adding someone does not send anything. Invitations go out when you choose, either for everyone at once or one at a time.

The invitation

Each participant receives an email with their own link. The email says who the program is from and what it is called. It comes from Paldar's sending address with your organisation's name shown, so it is clear to the person who has invited them.

If the email does not arrive, you can resend it from the same tab. If the address was wrong, correct it and resend; the old link stops working.

What a participant sees

After accepting, a participant lands in the learner view. It is intentionally small:

  • A timeline of what is coming up: sessions, surveys, lessons, with dates.
  • Any lesson or short course you have shared with them, ready to read.
  • Surveys and 360s that are open for them, with how long they take.
  • A conversation with the AI coach, if you have turned it on for the program.
  • Their own profile and email preferences.

They do not see other participants' names or progress, the program's costs, your notes, or anything from other programs you run.

What you see about them

You see whether the invitation was accepted, which surveys have been completed, which lessons have been opened, and a summary of coach conversations at the level you have chosen. You do not see the content of a coach conversation unless the participant has been told that you can and the program is set up that way.

Where the coach picks up something sensitive, it does not stay silent. It escalates to a person on your side, and that is not something a program can switch off.

Scheduling sessions

For one-to-one sessions, a participant can book from real availability when a calendar is connected, or you can set the time by hand and Paldar sends an invitation with a calendar file. Reminders are per session, and you write the wording.

Removing someone

A participant can be archived from the program. Their responses stay in the results so the measurement still adds up, but they lose access to the learner view and stop receiving anything.

Paldar is pre-launch, and the learner view in particular is still being refined with real participants. If something is confusing to the people you invite, we would like to hear it.
